LAKER JIM's

In this section, Rambis fans will be able to view and price different pieces of Kurt Rambis memorabilia.
Keep in mind my descriptions and values are solely based on opinion. As long as it is authentic, an autograph or piece of memorabilia's value is whatever it is worth to you.

A Little About Kurt's Autograph...
Kurt Rambis, in his career has always been a class act when it comes to signing autographs for fans. In my many years of following the Lakers, I have NEVER seen Kurt turn down a request for a signature. He has always been more than courteous and made sure everyone had an autograph. On many occasions after the mobs cleared, Kurt's often said "Anyone else?" He even took the time to make sure the fan had something behind it,so he could scribble a nice auto. He is always willing to take a photograph as well. However, now that Kurt does not travel with the team as a Player, Assistant, or Head Coach, his autograph is much harder to obtain for people outside Los Angeles.

Someone faking a Kurt Rambis autograph is truly a disgrace to the hobby and to fans everywhere. But it has been done. I have seen a few really horrible attempts at ripping off an honest collector. Kurt has always been very generous through the mail as well. (Recently, at the new El Seguendo addy I've had not luck). But before that, More than likely you'd receive a action B/W 8x10 of Kurt, Made out "To ----, All the best Kurt Rambis." When identifying this type, it's critical to look at the word "best." His "b" is always lower case. The top three Rambis autos are authentic and received by me in person. Version C was a very messy sig that he rushed. Even still, some distinct characteristics remain.

KURT RAMBIS AUTOGRAPHED JERSEY

You don't see many of these floating around to often. In fact finding one is very rare.

The rarity of the Jersey ($145 alone) combined with the autograph, and the fact that Rambis is out of the public's eye makes the value of the jersey rise. Kurt hasn't done an autograph show as far as I know so a Kurt Rambis signed Jersey (auto'd in person or from a reputable dealer) would value at around...$150+

KURT RAMBIS AUTOGRAPHED BASKETBALL
An authentic ball is worth close to $80 alone. Kurt's sig in silver or black on a panel pushes the value close to... $100

A Indoor/Outdoor Ball probably values closer to $60

KURT RAMBIS AUTOGRAPHED 8x10

An autographed Rambis 8x10 used to be pretty hard to come by. Only because blank 8x10 were a tough find. Photo File produced a few during his return to LA but might not produce them anymore.

A signed (not personalized) 8x10 photo is probably valued at $20.00...just due to it's rareness. A Personalization nearly squashes its value, but to a true Rambis fan...it's priceless.

KURT RAMBIS 1988 CRUSH CAN

Crush put out a special Kurt Rambis tribute on their 1988 Lemon-Lime soda can. The tribute was due to Kurt's departure from the Lakers (drafted by the Hornets in the expansion draft). On the can is a special message from Kurt to the fans... "Thanks for being great fans. I'll miss you L.A. -Kurt Rambis"

The value of this item is probably $7.00 (full or empty). If empty, it should be drained through a hole in the bottom (not open at lip). In good condition, This can is a centerpiece of conversation.

KURT RAMBIS REPLICA GLASSES

These replica black-rims were sold at the Forum and came in two forms (with tape and without). These glasses also have a printed Rambis autograph on the side right side in white. These are pretty rare and are valued at around $20.00
